Type 2 Diabetes taking Insulin & Oral Medication
The DUAL™ II trial is an international diabetes research study which will investigate the safety and efficacy of the combination of a GLP-1 analogue (Victoza®) and basal insulin (insulin degludec) in controlling glycaemia.
The trial will involve almost 400 patients with type 2 diabetes in 7 countries worldwide.
Qualified participants will receive comprehensive care, including regular health checks and medical testing as well as access to trial medication and blood glucose testing equipment at no cost. Participants may also be compensated for time and travel to our office.
To join the trial you must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- Have Type 2 Diabetes
- Treated with basal insulin and 1-2 oral antidiabetic (metformin with or without sulfonylurea or glinides)
- Able to attend 11 clinic visits and 23 telephone contacts during the 29 weeks you participate in the trial.
